Penticton's Just 4 Fun adds STEM toys and so much more to already huge inventory

It’s always smart to visit Just 4 Fun on a regular basis, because you never know what fun and exciting new products you are going to find on its shelves.

The Penticton store, which describes itself as the “place to find everything fun under one roof,” has been busy in 2025, adding a wide range of products that its customers are loving.

“Aside from all the stuff that we regularly carry, we’ve grown into different categories, especially after buying all of Sirius Science and Nature’s inventory,” Just 4 Fun owner Leigh Follestad says.

Sirius Science and Nature closed up shop earlier this year, and much of its inventory can now be found at Just 4 Fun. As a result, Just 4 Fun is now the place to go for all things STEM—science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

“It’s definitely an area of growth and where we’re going to put a little more energy into,” Follestad says.

STEM products allow kids and adults alike to learn while having fun. A great example of that is an Australian line of products called iM.Master, which is now available at Just 4 Fun.

“It’s similar to Lego Technic, but they feature STEM in them,” Just 4 Fun general manager Sean Cochran says. “We built a robot here, and it snaps together with the pieces, but then you also have to set up hydraulic lines in order for it to work. So there’s little things like that that they’ll do, and there’s some app based [remote control] stuff.

“It’s really cool in that regard, where they incorporate STEM into the building portion.”

Just 4 Fun also now features rocks, gems and minerals from Sirius, and it has added departments like Playmobil, a fidget section called Fidget Land and an area Follestad refers to as the “ocular department.”

“We’ve got microscopes, telescopes, high-end binoculars, and other higher-end type science products,” he says.

The addition of the iM.Master line is what makes Just 4 Fun so unique.

“That’s something that no one else is carrying,” Follestad says. “We’re trying to look for things that no one else carries, that we believe are great new products. We want to always be able to provide the new and most current products like that.”

Another example of a unique item is Just Your World, which features Minecraft-like, magnetic building blocks.

“That’s a huge department that’s been growing and is very popular with kids, because it keeps them off screens,” Follestad says. “Instead of playing Minecraft on the TV, you’re playing Minecraft with physical blocks.”

As always, Just 4 Fun is home to hundreds of board games, disc golf supplies, trading cards, Magic: The Gathering, Warhammer, Lego, toys, stuffies, puzzles, hot sauces and so much more.
